Laptops for people living in poverty

We collect discarded laptops, professionally refurbish them and distribute them to people in need throughout Switzerland via our partner network.

We deliberately focus on those affected by poverty who cannot afford their own IT equipment. Digitalisation should not be an income-dependent privilege, but a basic right for all.

Collect laptops

Have You or Your company Laptops that you no longer need? We are happy to accept them and give them a new lease of life. Our requirements are manageable:

• The laptop must be bootable,
• It must not have any screen damage.
• No keys must be missing
• The battery works for at least half an hour.
• The laptop should not be older than eight years. 

If everything fits, you are welcome to register your device as a donation at our service desk. We will contact you again afterwards if everything fits.

You can bring the laptop to us afterwards or send it by post. If you would like to donate a larger quantity of equipment, we would also be happy to come to you (from 100 laptops).

Refurbish laptops

As soon as your device has been data cleansed, it will be set up again and prepared for shipment. You can find out more about our set-up process in this section: Our work

Distribute laptops

Our partner organisations can place laptop orders with us. As soon as we receive an order, we ship the device within two weeks at the latest. Private individuals who contact us will be categorised and then forwarded to the right place.
