Which devices are suitable?
As a small team, it is important for us to use resources proportionately. That's why we can't accept every device, but have a clear focus on laptops.
We are particularly pleased with such donations:
- Larger quantity (from 10 pcs.)
- Same device types
- As startable as possible
What is unfortunately not possible?
The above criteria are certainly important, but not every laptop can be used. We also have some devices that we generally do not accept:
Devices older than 10 years
Even if technological progress has been slowed down in recent years (and in our opinion is no longer needed), at some point it will come to an end.
After 10 years, certain consumables, such as a battery, will certainly be worn out. Processors, cooling systems and other wearing parts will also be completely worn out at some point.

Netbooks / ChromeBooks
A cool trend a few years ago, but unfortunately usually built in such a way that the joy quickly fades after the warranty expires. Such inexpensive devices are also usually difficult to maintain and repair.
Basically, these devices are already characterised by manageable performance - and this does not increase with age. Particularly complicated designs and soldered components lead to a relatively large number of rejects.

MacBooks
Quite simply because the manufacturer of these devices cares very little about the fact that the devices can be repaired - and replacement material is extremely expensive. A replacement battery can very quickly account for more than half of our total expenses per device.
Glued batteries and peripheral components mean that it is highly unlikely that spare parts from a model can even be repaired (and without an additional maintenance agreement with the manufacturer).

Mobile phones, desktop devices and peripherals
It's better to get one thing right than a hundred things wrong. We focus on laptops. That is why we cannot accept donations of conventional PCs, mobile phones or peripherals (screens, etc.).
What does the process look like?
Our credo is to keep the processes as simple as possible for our donors. That's why the process is explained relatively quickly:
- We are notified of a donation
- We check these
- We arrange a collection
- We process the devices
