The module "Media and Information Technology" is an integral part of today's primary education. But not everywhere are the resources available to train accordingly.
Cool workshop, exciting and creative. The students were enthusiastic. Big thanks to the wLw team!
Contents
Item 1: Unscrewing and unscrewing laptops
Without fear of damage or defects: Together with the participants, we take apart complete devices and see what components are hidden underneath.
Item 2: Component knowledge
What is actually inside a gaming laptop or PC and which components are important for what? The answers to these questions are discovered in a playful way - and communicated in an understandable way.
Item 3: We put on a laptop
This post explains how to bring a PC to life: From the operating system to installing one to free programmes that can be used.
Item 4: Competition
At the end, the individual groups compete against each other and measure each other on what they have learned. The task is to assemble a laptop, install an operating system and fill in a theory test 🙂
More info
The workshops are well suited from grade 6 onwards.
Up to 12 students can take part in each workshop, as well as other carers. For larger classes, the students have to be divided up, but we can of course also run two workshops.
A workshop usually lasts three hours. Popular time slots for this are, for example, between 08:30 - 11:30 or 13:30 - 16:30. The workshops are offered between Tuesday - Friday.
Costs
We simply charge CHF 1,000 per workshop so that we can cover our expenses. In return, you get three hours of a full programme with our IT professionals and a souvenir or two 🙂
Implementation planning
These workshops are offered between February and June, and September and December.
In the best case, we receive at least two months' notice. The effective implementation dates also depend on our availability, of course.

We would be happy to look at the possibilities of these workshops with you in detail. We would be happy to complement your lessons as well!
