Zorin OS: Check battery status

Here you can find out how to check the maximum capacity of the battery on your Zorin laptop. This will help us at wLw-WhatsApp-Support to diagnose possible problems with your battery. Follow these instructions to check the maximum charge capacity of your laptop.

Here you will find an instruction video and written instructions. Choose the instructions that are easiest for you. As soon as you have checked the battery status with the instructions, take a picture and forward it to WhatsApp support.

Make sure that you have a stable WLAN connection

Written instructions:

1. Open the terminal on your laptop
2.  Press the following buttons simultaneously: Ctrl + Alt + T
3. As soon as the terminal window opens, enter the following command:
   • sudo apt install inxi
4. Press the Enter button
5. Enter the password for your laptop and confirm with the Enter key
6. As soon as the message «After this operation, an additional 4,278 kB of disc space will be used. Would you like to continue?’ (or similar) appears, confirm it with «J» and press the Enter key.
7. Wait until it is completely downloaded (see green bar with the percentage).
8. Once it is fully downloaded, enter this command:
   • inxi -B
     • There must be a space between inxi and the hyphen, otherwise the command will not work
9. As soon as it has finished charging, check the battery values

Take a photo of the last answer and send it to the WhatsApp support chat.
