The end of Windows 10

Windows has decided to end Windows 10 at the end of October 2025. Not all devices can be updated to Windows 11.

Why is Windows 10 no longer supported?

Microsoft has decided that Windows 10 will no longer be supported from October 2025. The pressure on all users to install Windows 11 is supposedly to "guarantee security", but in reality is in many cases just an attempt to sell newer devices.

This approach leads to a massive waste of devicesthat still work perfectly but are labelled as "old" or electronic waste due to the system requirements. Many of these devices could still provide many years of useful service.

As an association, we are firmly opposed to this practice by Microsoft and are doing everything we can to ensure that these devices do not have to end up in the bin: Because even older laptops can continue to provide useful services.

Is my device affected?

If you have a device with Zorin OS from us, you can rest assured: Windows 11 is not an optionand that's no problem! Zorin OS is the perfect replacement for Windows - and for good reason.
