You can find all the information about this step on this page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Which devices are suitable?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>As a small team, it is important for us to use resources proportionately. That's why we can't accept every device, but have a clear focus on laptops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are particularly pleased with such donations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Larger quantity (from 10 pcs.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Same device types<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>As startable as possible<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-alert\"><strong>\ud83e\ude79 Defective devices are also exciting!<\/strong><br><br>We are also happy to accept defective devices, as we can obtain important replacement material from them. For example, we may be able to turn two defective laptops into a functioning one. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is unfortunately not possible?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The above criteria are certainly important, but not every laptop can be used. We also have some devices that we generally do not accept:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-accordion wp-block-hb-accordion\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__section\" data-ht-blocks-accordion-block-state=\"closed\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__title\"><span><strong>Devices older than 10 years<\/strong><\/span><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__content\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__contentwrap\">Even if technological progress has been slowed down in recent years (and in our opinion is no longer needed), at some point it will come to an end. <br><br>After 10 years, certain consumables, such as a battery, will certainly be worn out. Processors, cooling systems and other wearing parts will also be completely worn out at some point. <\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__section\" data-ht-blocks-accordion-block-state=\"closed\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__title\"><span><strong>Netbooks \/ ChromeBooks<\/strong><\/span><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__content\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__contentwrap\">A cool trend a few years ago, but unfortunately usually built in such a way that the joy quickly fades after the warranty expires. Such inexpensive devices are also usually difficult to maintain and repair. <br><br>Basically, these devices are already characterised by manageable performance - and this does not increase with age. Particularly complicated designs and soldered components lead to a relatively large number of rejects.<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__section\" data-ht-blocks-accordion-block-state=\"closed\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__title\"><span><strong>MacBooks<\/strong><\/span><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__content\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__contentwrap\">Quite simply because the manufacturer of these devices cares very little about the fact that the devices can be repaired - and replacement material is extremely expensive. A replacement battery can very quickly account for more than half of our total expenses per device.<br><br>Glued batteries and peripheral components mean that it is highly unlikely that spare parts from a model can even be repaired (and without an additional maintenance agreement with the manufacturer). <\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__section\" data-ht-blocks-accordion-block-state=\"closed\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__title\"><span><strong>Mobile phones, desktop devices and peripherals<\/strong><\/span><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__content\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-accordion__contentwrap\">It's better to get one thing right than a hundred things wrong. We focus on laptops. That is why we cannot accept donations of conventional PCs, mobile phones or peripherals (screens, etc.). <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does the process look like?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Our credo is to keep the processes as simple as possible for our donors.
